Regular Rehearsals

Every Tuesday evening 7:30pm to 9:30pm with a 10 minute break for refreshments.  These continue until Tuesday, December 15, 2009, and resume on January 5, 2010. Note that several of these evenings are actually retirement home concerts.  Rehearsals continue until May 25, before our final concert on May 30.

This symphony was scored for only 1 flute, 2 oboes, 2 bassoons, 2 horns and strings, so not everyone will be playing.

Paul Chappel - Northwest Symphony
   
Paul is a Dundas composer and organist. A brief biography of him appeared in the Hamilton Spectator in 2007, when he celebrated his 40th birthday.

Edvard Grieg - Last Spring
from Op.34 No.2
    This is an arrangement for orchestra by Bruno Reibold. The original work was composed for piano, four hands, though Grieg later arranged it for string orchestra. Others have arranged it for other combinations of instruments. Icini - Summertime in Venice
    The composer of the music has the pseudonym Icini and is actually composer Alessandro Cicognini (1906-1995). The others listed are responsible for the lyrics.
